Upon my move to California over a year ago I had a very distorted idea of what summertime out here is really like. Sure it is beautiful once the clock strikes noon but first thing in the morning thanks to the marine layer, you awake to a chilly hazy gloom. It is the kind of weather that makes me wish I lived in the North West somewhere in the mountains. I could imagine waking up to gloomy beautiful mornings surrounded by mountains and lakes and a fresh cup of coffee. Anything beats this marine layer/smog/Los Angeles pollution.
